With this piece, I sought to explore the archetypes of pop cultural heroes and villains that I’ve encountered through mediums of cartoon, comic and film by deconstructing and simplifying the character’s narrative down to a singular contour and color. I then overlaid the characters from each side to form a composite icon or a Super Hero and Super Villain respectively.

It can be near impossible at times to distinguish the difference between good and bad as generosity, nepotism, strength, weakness, desire, greed, charm, bewitchery, avengement, vengeance, cunning, deception, charisma, and arrogance overlap. Who do you empathize with?
